Ah yes, I left it in the petrol station at Wolvercote roundabout, had to go back to collect it, missed out on Millbrook and didn't catch up with you until Silverstone. A good day

Well, after my gentle nudge further up, this morning I did my usual supermarket shop, but as I was early, changed routine slightly and dropped some recycling into the relevant skips first (usually done after the shop).
Go through the checkout, come to pay, wallet still in car. Fortunately it was pretty early (07:30) so no real queue while I rushed back to car... doh

what car? Mercedes keyless doesn’t allow locking if key is in the car.

Yes she did that. And she was only 13 miles away.

it has been possible with cars from about 2000 to 2006. After that period it should not happen;-)

Keyless entry & start is nonsense makes your car easier to steal by the crooks with the signal booster while you are in the shop. Yes you could use a Faraday pouch but in that case its simpler to get your keys out of your pocket & press a button. I had the keyless entry disabled on mine but its still keyless start. I keep the keys in a metal lidded tin at home. My 1930 Sunbeam open tourer is keyless entry & start, it does not have any locks. The likelihood of anyone knowing how to start it is slim.
