My dealer is aware I forgot to ask the question (how many cracks to have another chassis under warranty. With the broken bevel box out of warranty maybe they would make a contribution to the cost of repair. Tim, I think that is the critical theme of this thread. ALL cracked or potentially broken chassis should be replaced ASAP.

Well how is this for customer service.I called the factory at 9am to discuss the chassis cracks, by 1.30pm i had an email stating that the car will have a new chassis fitted under warranty and be picked up by the factory on July 7th . How long they will have the car maybe another story but all positive so far. Well, today's the day Hugo.... I trust all goes well with the collection and repair. Do keep us all updated

I don't understand how Morgan are getting away with not replacing all of the chassis on cars before a certain date of manufacture i.e. pre the revised chassis.
While I appreciate the relief of individual owners in getting a new chassis from Morgan, no one should be placed in the position of waiting for their chassis to crack before action is taken.
If anything should be subject to a mandatory recall, surely it should be a potentially life-threatening fault that is well known and well documented.

I know I have said this before but it will only happen when a group of affected owners gets together and fronts the authorities in the UK, Europe and the US with their experiences and the evidence (you can also include Australia & NZ for that matter) Get a financial fund together, engage an independent automotive engineer to examine the vehicles along with the content on this forum just for starters. There is no way Morgan or an owner, can stand in the Coroners Court now and say "we did not know" - it was an accident. Sorry if this upsets some here but you need, as a GROUP to DO SOMETHING.....

My 3 wheeler was collected this morning as promised, the wait begins, anyone fancy a guess on how long before i see it again !
Before it went i had another look at the chassis and i can confirm that the tube where the upper wishbone is bolted was actually broken with a 5mm gap all the way round.

Update....The car is now fully stripped down and the rebuild has started. Unfortunately all the new chassis are fitted with the NVH kit, i asked not to have it but was told that it is not an option also they are changing the 2 brake and clutch reservoirs for a single one.If everything goes to plan i should have the car back by the end of the month. The communication from the factory has been excellent so far.
