Just had a phone call from the factory to say my car is rebuilt and has been on a test drive, they reported back that the ball joints were worn and advised replacement. I have agreed to have them done and the car will be ready for collection next week.

Good to hear it's all going in the right direction. I wonder how much Morgan charge for £15 ball joints?? I suppose you cannot argue too much with a nice new chassis supplied in a reasonable time scale. I wonder how much your M3W purchase has costed MMC and the dealer when they add it all up?

I think the shareholders reckon it's an awful lot of cash along with significant risk to brand and reputation.

Hugo good news & it seems customer care has improved. My new chassis took 12 weeks in 2017 & I could get no info on progress. All comms via the dealer.

I suspect rumored changes to customer service policy along with revised management and reporting structures are being trialed or have come into effect.

Great news to hear that is has been sorted!
Still makes me wonder if they will ever recall them in the future, as surely getting a new chassis will be a finite lifespan and if a low miler garage queen has a failure in say a decade or so - then what?

Better safe than sorry I would say..

Final update...
Collected my car last Thursday, we stayed in Malvern the day before which was very strange as it was so quiet, they must have lost 90% of their tourism.
The car was handed over by Rob and then Mark Baldwin came out and talked me through what they had done, very nice straight talking man, he did say that my chassis was the worse he had seen! The car now feels so much different, stiffer chassis and the handling is much more precise, i can now take my hands off the wheel at any speed and it stays straight and true, it does feel like a new car. I did ask not to have the NVH kit after reading the conflicting views on T/M but i was told that this was not an option and now i have driven the car for about 500 miles i can honestly say i can not feel or hear any difference. I am very pleased with the car and the service from MMC, i do think they are making a real effort in customer relations which is about time.

Ps anyone want to buy it , i have fallen for the stunning +8 on the for sale page !
