Your thoughts? - Tonneau for a four seater
We have been attempting to fit the Tonneau with varying success, yesterday it went on using the method described in the video found here: https://youtu.be/HCS-VoYdMIEThe method is the same for a four seater As you see ours is not quite on properly, the hood material needs tidying and one or two of the poppers still have to be stretched into place. By the time we had finished both of us were exhausted, it took us a good 20 minutes and so I think this is not something we will be doing very often. I must say that driving with it fitted over half the cockpit is rather special and I imagine it could be very cosy in winter. I would be interested to hear of your thoughts on the use of this item.

 Very good Ray! Richard, I like the C18 origin best   Anyway, back to the OP - Kevin it seems allowing the cover to stretch a little has worked out? It applies to 2 seat cars as well, but with smaller hoods/tonneau covers usually they can be persuaded to fit without too much struggle. Although as both JohnV6 and Jays will attest, the "mohair" (canvas) hood on my old '76 shrank after re-proofing making it exceptionally difficult to fit. It was waterproof though (unlike the rest of the car!  ).

Just a thought on storage of your cover when it’s not in use
I have mine folded in a bag stored in the warmest part of my garage
It’s an integral garage and the corner next to an internal wall at the back of the garage is pretty warm from the house all year round. This helps a bit.
If your garage is separate and/or unheated, it might be better storing it in the house
I also have a hood cover that looks identical to the back bit of the tonneau cover and I do the same for that as well but it’s always a struggle putting it on after a long time stored Thanks Stewart much appreciated. It has been on for a few days and all the poppers fit now, good advice from all once again. I store mine folded on a pvc pipe strung along the wall of the garage for now.

Fitting a tonneau cover on a four seater is quite a effort
And particularly the post 2005 models as they are longer, so more hood bulk to stretch over and more distance to stretch
The other difficulty is that, unlike the two seater in the video, you can’t lift up the folded hood much. You can only lift the hood up just past the prongs to stuff under the flap that traps the back of cover. And it’s a real hand scraper if you have white collar office paws, not calloused leather builder’s manibus
If you think it’s tough in the Summer try doing it in the cold of Winter or when it’s pouring down, your hands are wet and there is no stretch on the vinyl!
2 seater owners will never know the toil and the high of the elation after that the 4 seater brotherhood endures fitting the Tonneau Cover of Plenty
I can recommend hooking the back end of the cover when the roof is still closed. Just unlocked at the windscreen. The four-seater rear hood bracket (or whatever this thing is called correctly...) can then be raised very easily. Same with the hood cover. Took me some time to learn that (almost finished first year Morgan driving...).

I had one on my 2008 4 seater and it was superb and very useful and simple to use. I think it’s because I had Shaun at Allon Whites make it when the car was delivered to them by MMC (MMC had no interest in making one and said it’s not available!!). Shaun made piped head rest pockets in it at the same time.
I accepted that no matter how much care I took folding the hood it would always resemble a badly made bed! Once I got over that I kept the rear hooked over the folded hood and tucked the remainder over the rear seat unless solo when I covered the passenger side. It was just a single zip one and hood and tonneau were Mohair.
Kept me cosy on many a cold day.
