My euphoria of a dry bevel box was short lived, after a longish run in the current warm weather oil once again dripped onto the driveway. I have contacted the supplying dealer who have arranged Morgan recovery to collect the car for further investigation.

You may want to pull the seats and the console cover and clean under there. The oil from the seal leaking pools on the tray under the driveshaft and may continue to drip out if you do not clean it.l
I found this with my 3 wheeler. Was about to replace the seal when I read your post about the breather. I found the same issue with pressure in the box when I removed the orange breather. Turns out the metal tube that goes into the orange cap is glued in. I found that mine was totally blocked with excess adhesive. I had a spare so I replaced it. Will be cleaning the area under the drive shaft to see if I have any further leakage.

The plugged vent cap in the bb makes me want to know how old the gear oil was when the leak was first noticed, ie how many miles on the bb without an oil change?

The car was just one week old and had covered a total of 170 miles. Currently the car resides at the supplying dealer awaiting fitment of a new factory BB which is a bit excessive as it probably just needs a seal.

It seems that the dealers don't change the £3 seal, they only change the £600 Bevel Box. Changing seals is only possible for owners doing it themselves, yours is under warranty at least. The new box will come fitted with a cheap Nitrile seal that is very marginal for the temperature that the BB reaches, a Viton seal (at about 4 times the price) would be a much better bet, something to keep in mind once the warranty expires.

Instructions on how to do this fairly straight forward job are on the MTWC website. https://www.mtwc.co.uk/news-post/ I know I keep putting this link on here but there is quite a lot of information on there now for the M3W and many of the problems and questions that come up on this forum are covered on it.

Sound like the oem vent plug was defective and not venting, or it got plugged with manufacturing debris from the bb causing it to plug. Pity.

It seems excessive to change the entire bb just for the front seal unless MMC knows something about a batch of bb that were made wrong.

It seems it is standard practice for MMC to replace the entire bevel box, I had 2 replaced under warranty for oil seal leaks on my 2013 M3W and have since had to replace the seal myself.

Possibly MMC have their own warranty claim against Quaife? I assume the BBs get returned to MMC for reconditioning either by them or Quaife.
