The Salamanca I had in mind is a convertible car body style. It was an elaborate all weather four+ seater with windows that could be folded down. You could open the front of the car to make it a sedanca, or the back to make it a landauette, or both to make it an open tourer. Only attempted by very good coachbuilers.

I believe that a roaadster was a vehicle supplief with no roof as with the earlier morrgans .
When did morgans start providing roofs fitting roofs to order ?
I believe that previously one had to collect the car and drive to a specialist hood maker to fit one (if this was required)

You also have the "Surrey Top" used by Triumph on the TR4 and Jaguar call their open cars O.T.S. for open top sports but never a roadster.
