Yes only for the rear tyre

Rather than trying to fix a puncture after it has happened to the rear tyre (not an easy task in that position) a better idea is to prevent the puncture in the first place by using a puncture preventative such as OKO, Puncture Safe or Auto Seal. Apart from the difficulty of repairing, a rear wheel puncture it is not something you want to happen from a loss of control perspective either. The other bonus is you don't need to carry the repair kit.

Once you have put that into the rear tire is there any problem that it clogs the tire pressure gauges?

I have used Autoseal for years and not had any problems with pressure gauges.

Agree on the prevention part. But I guess that carrying an extra puncture repair kit with the small tyre inflator is a plus. And under the bonnet, it doesn't take that much space.

Have you filled the fron tyre with a puncture preventative too?

My fronts are filled with puncture preventative as well as the rear, not sure how effective it is in tubes though, the instruction do say it can be put in tubes.

I have not used it in my front tyres but as Rog G says, the instructions say it can be used. I am a bit concerned about balance with the front wheels. I have a can of the spray foam stuff for front wheel punctures, they are easier to get to. I also carry a spare tube, not to replace at the side of the road although some have I believe, but I doubt that many tyre places would have the correct tube if I managed to get to one after a puncture. My front wheel tube would have had the foam inside I expect, so a new tube will be needed and doesn't take up too much space. I have carried one for 7 years now and not needed it, so it may work preventing punctures

In 45 years of motorcycle riding (and probably 300,000 miles) I have had two flats, both on the rear as it appears the front tire pushes up the nail and it goes into the rear. I also had a mail go into the side wall at an angle so it did not puncture the tire, but it kept hitting the swing arm as it went around, such an odd thing to hear tick..... tick..... tick
