A few ‘local’ Morganeers got together for a scenic drive around the Surrey Hills on Wednesday - glorious weather and amazing villages and countryside

I think I passed two of you going the other way. I was cycling back from Shoreham to Ashtead through Rusper and Newdigate, a dark blue Plus 4 and a red Plus 4. My fellow cyclists were impressed.

Lovely trip to Dartington Hall and a couple of nice surprises parked up there.

We had to take a bunch of our Sweet peas to put on Heather's Mum's favourite statue as she would have been 93 today bless her.

I was admiring them the C is a rebuilt on a galvanised chassis one and the good lady says go on I'll buy you one swap the Fiesta tractor out you don't love it, which is true it's just very efficient but no soul at all.

We used to have an Ami8 which we both loved they are so much fun and a lot more skill required to "use" the inertia efficiently so who knows.

Damn you Woolfie laugh2

Splendid stuff.

Yes I did wonder as it was in original condition I would say with the usual rusty bits but not too bad for the vintage.
If I did get one I would go the rebuilt car route, I’m quite happy with mechanicals but I don’t do rust.

They always make me smile when I see one and we had such fun in our Ami 8 working in Western Germany and touring Europe in the mid 70's.
We did 60,000 trouble free miles in it out there and the only non service items I fitted was a new exhaust silencer (first box) and replacement of the penny sized inboard disc handbrake pads, the cheapest motoring we ever had and Heather loved the quirky gearchange and really knew how to read the road/traffic and get the best out it's 602cc.

Went to Sutton Hoo today for training before the NT allows volunteers back.
A very nice drive despite light showers & lots of nice comments in the car park from the other volunteers.

I'll starting volunteering again but only in an outside role from Friday
