I let my son drive Tarka, for the first time.
He is 31, a car nut and despite abusing a range of exotic tat, Focus RS, 330CSi, Skyline, Impreza and others borrowed from friends, has never bent anything or been caught doing anything illegal.
He drives the AMGs and had never thought the Plus 8 as really special.

He is now a convert....

He described it as "raw, connected, lithe and alive".
Well, the way he was driving it then he is right.
Full throttle drag starts in sport mode. Pedal to the metal... no tyre slip, no twitch, just pure thrust.

I've never tried it before.

I'm bringing him to the Castle Combe event organised by Williams. He will scare me sh*tless.

Good story Peter, I took my nice`s early to mid teens boys out for a jaunt in the +8, they are used to all sorts of executive buses and have been passengers on track in a Lambo and other exotics, the older of the two circa 17 years old seemed to be impressed but more sophisticated in his comments though his younger brother by a few years, was knocked out...(-: Both were impressed with the somewhat raw experience compared to anything else up to that point, perhaps making it a tad more memorable with the passage of time..?

Peter, perhaps double check the contents of sugar bowl for signs of ground glass if the heir apparent has taken a fancy to your +8...

My daughter was exposed to cars and car events from a very early age and so finds the whole thing a bit of a yawn.

Nothing, however exotic, seems to impress her. She likes the Morgans, but she doesn't get excited often about anything.

My 3 year old grandson particularly enjoys pushing the Starter button on the Speedster. When it fires up- he laughs out loud. My two daughters have grown up around Morgans- but both prefer the Landrover’s.

40 mile drive today for a mot in the pouring rain the car passed but i have a crack in my newly refurbished alloy, what a bugger yet another trip to the powder coaters to have my spare colour coded.
