Thanks Robbie...but one man’s sausage is another man’s meal!🤑
I found it tricky to get an accurate measurement of the existing wipe which is why I wanted to know what it was designed to be,so that I could be re-assured in my measuring technique.
Further inspired from your last posting, I took the cover off the gearbox once more and, parking the wipers half way, there was the stamp which had been hiding under the drive bar! 130 degrees for mine, so I am now kicking around whether go go for 120 or 115 as I don’t need go gain as much as you did with the 8inch blades.
I’ll chew on a sausage and put an order in shortly.

I didn't open the drive up but here are the part numbers on the unit.

Thanks John. Very similar to mine but the numbers don’t tell you what gearing has been fitted. And when you open the cover, nothing is apparent until you get the gear wheel to rotate half way and then find the number stamped which was hidden by the driveshaft when in the parked position.
Anyway, have now ordered a 120 from CBS with fingers crossed.

Trying to get the correct angle is a faff. Bits of cardboard, lines on screen etc etc.
There is so much tolerance in the system including the position of the wiper wheel boxes so determining angles is difficult, my poor geometry skills not helping.

My original wiper gear was 130 and blades dropped off the screen bottom big time (this may not have been helped by having a drop down screen which may have altered angles but I cannot be sure). I went to 105 but 110 better. For me 115 is too much

I did work out a way of determining the gear but the measurements were so small with so much play in the system that accuracy was questionable (if you want my notes in this regard just pm me). So all a bit trial of error In the end.

My experience was very similar to yours but as the new blades that Peter has had made only just go off the bottom on the middle and near side, and after playing around with bits of card and string, I am hoping 10 degrees less will do it. I was wary of going too small as it would decrease the wipe area on Mrs Deejay’s side and her eye-level is more aligned with the bottom of the screen rather than the upper portion.

Didn’t have that problem, my wife cannot see anything out of the screen even after raising her seat. But, she’s only 5 feet tall.

Your right to be concerned about swept area though, safety is paramount.

Perhaps a little late now, but here's how you can get at least a fair approximation of the right sweeping angle:
1. Fit your new blades onto the wiper arms
2. Take a note of the parking position
3. Switch on the ignition, turn on the wipers
4. Spray the screen with water or even better some detergent to make them move freely without friction
5. Turn off the ignition the moment the blades are in the desired maximum position without touching the lower edge of the screen. You might have to try it a few times before you get it right.
6. Now put a sheet of paper on the screen underneath the blade that is most critical, then draw a line along it and another along the parking position.
7. Put the paper on the floor, measure the angle with a protractor.
Not much of a faff, and reasonably accurate. At least it gives you a reference when choosing a new gear. Good luck with the project, and don't forget the instruction video on CBS website.

Blades just arrived fitted in seconds absolutely perfect, the middle one just and only just touches the bottom frame in the middle but so did the original one so it’s a non-issue.

Already the screen is cleaner than it was before much better clearance thank you so much for this initiative Peter brilliant!
