Very nice, a few years ago we were at MMC and something very similar was in the PDI bay, I was quite taken with the colour and rare brown hood, when I asked the lads they said it was a VW colour

Yes it does look like a relative of Tarka. Peter that would be strong DNA.

I know of one trad Morgan finished in the same shade of bronze.
Tarka is supposed to be a Rolls Royce colour, but when the body shop scanned the car the computer offered two paints, one is the RR colour and the other was a VW one.
BUT the mix components for the RR colour had more content than the VW, and it is my feeling that the RR paint has more "depth".

It was a browny bronze Tom, I have a picture somewhere I'll have a dig around for it. Here we go, a lot more in keeping with the time of production than a metallic.. It was a browny bronze Tom, I have a picture somewhere I'll have a dig around for it. Here we go, a lot more in keeping with the time of production than a metallic.. Proper bumpers and smaller sidelights as well, the devil is in the detail . It might be hard to find if you parked by a muddy field Always best to keep them on the black stuff

Ford Roman Bronze, my friend had a Capri Ghia with a beige vinyl roof, how fashions change! It was a browny bronze Tom, I have a picture somewhere I'll have a dig around for it. Here we go, a lot more in keeping with the time of production than a metallic.. Proper bumpers and smaller sidelights as well, the devil is in the detail . British Leyland Russet Brown circa 1978/9 I think. I recall a few Triumph Stags and MGs in that colour!
