This is an interesting comment from Ross Brawn - he should know better than most. I was really pleased for him on Sunday it was a just reward after narrowly missing out last week.

Your posting (2 days after the event) made me smile. I had restraint from posting something about Max’s Silverstone win last Sunday. So, I could not be accused of nationalistc sentiments. I had not expected this win, I confess. Looks like some car/driver combos eat more tires. I hope to see more of this, would make F1 more exciting. Perhaps Max does not have to move to Mercedes to become world champion...

I like Max, he is maturing well and has a great sense of humour.

Red Bull win interesting but I bet Max would sooner be in a Merc. I would love to see it

Bert you post away as you see fit it was a great achievement, the only reason I posted the Max article was I thought it was a very telling statement from Brawn a man who should be in the know.
It seems like tyre strategy will determine the rest of the season so it's all up for grabs now especially with the PInk Mercedes and Charles in the ascendency, I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

Now Max has matured and stopped crashing so much he could be in with a shout this year I wish him well.
He has already claimed the first Dutchman to win a British Grand Prix title lets hope it's one of many.

Couldn't agree more Rich. He is like a breath of freash air and I for one would love to see him beat the Mercs every race.

I am sitting here just before the main race watching the catch up on P3 and Qualy.
Ferrari 999 race as a team prior to the 1000th at Monza next week.
How to sum it up?
Well someone on Fuzzbook got it right.
