Not Morgan related but this may help others. My iphone would not display a charge, though the battery was still showing 30%. Tried different leads and chargers to no avail. Then wondered if fluff or dirt from my pocket has got into the charging socket on the phone. So gave it a rub with my shaver cleaning brush...nothing. Little to lose, so attacked it with a cocktail stick, and finally, out popped a little compacted “worm” of fluff. Now charging fine. Have given it a squirt of contact cleaner just to finish off. I could easily have gone out and bought a new battery or even a new phone, all for nothing.

If this is an ongoing problem I wonder if a weekly go over with one of those cheap usb/keyboard mini vavuum cleaners might keep your charge ports clear?

Maybe a blow from a tyre compressor could get the fluff out too.

Once a year it happens. Then I turn off the iPhone and clean the dust ball with the small fork that is used to insert the SIM card. With it you can get to the end of the slot, the dust there is compressed by the plug of the charger cable for one year...until the plug doesn't fit in anymore. I would never spray anything into the iPhone.
