tmg13 did you do the Brenner pass or the side passes via Merano. I lived in Bavaria & used the Brenner a lot to get to a Kraft cheese factory near Garda in the 80s but in 2018 we came back via Merano which was slower but far more scenic. The photos are from a stop at a German Gastestube in the Sud Tirol Italy for lunch with Merano in the valley

A run out into the Peak District last weekend.
The view is just a few miles NE of Bakewell.

60 miles today over to Matlock and our first breakfast 'out' since lockdown, just 13deg C and heavy drizzle there & back, but a Mog drive still makes you smile

BHM is 200 miles each way from here, so not quite as far. grin2

Closer dealers just don't cut the mustard for me.

Lovely round trip to Buckfast with plenty of sensible traffic about and a nice red chrome bumper MGB with the roof up, pussy.

A lovely old restored TK Bedford in RAF colours waving frantically, a nice 50 mile round trip with about four of the latest Shaguar soft tops whatever they call them but no waving far too serious laugh2 catching up with their Austin Powers act...

We did the Brenner as I'd never been over it before. Thanks for tip about Merano, I'll bear it mind for another trip.

The Brenner is nice and easy but with great scenery. Glad you enjoyed it.
