We made a three day tour from Zürich via Glaubenberg Pass and Grimsel Pass to Obergesteln in Canton Wallis.

We stayed for two nights at the Hotel Hubertus which has a large and safe garage. We can recommend it. Excellent food and wellness area.
From there we made a journey with the steam train of "Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke". Expensive but worth every cent. [Linked Image]DFB by Werni Wehrli, auf Flickr

The last day led us over Furka pass (2429 m above sea level). The hotel on the pic was closed about 20 years ago.

Moggy felt at ease. The GDI engine breaks very well when going downhill so I did not have to push to hard on the breaks.

The Furka is a great drive & it looks you had great weather for it.
I was volunteering at Sutton Hoo today and went in the Mog. The weather got bit wild but in the end stayed dry.

Did the Applecross section of the NC500 today.
Weather bright, some small showers, midge count HIGH.

Yes but a view. I really enjoyed that part of the NC500. The pass is stunning.

John, it is stunning, guess we take views like these a bit for granted up here.

Here's some images from a short trip to the lighthouse today. Well worth going, just go carefully at the speed bumps at the weak bridges with a Morgan swear

That we do, an ex colleague of mine lived on Orkney with a lot of work down south he relied on it I never tried it myself but they sound sensible.
He stuck it on in London village somewhere and got it off in Inverness if I remember correctly.

That would suit me just fine missing the boring England M6 scape.
