We stayed for two nights at the Hotel Hubertus which has a large and safe garage. We can recommend it. Excellent food and wellness area. From there we made a journey with the steam train of "Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke". Expensive but worth every cent. DFB by Werni Wehrli, auf Flickr
The last day led us over Furka pass (2429 m above sea level). The hotel on the pic was closed about 20 years ago.
The Furka is a great drive & it looks you had great weather for it. I was volunteering at Sutton Hoo today and went in the Mog. The weather got bit wild but in the end stayed dry.

That we do, an ex colleague of mine lived on Orkney with a lot of work down south he relied on it I never tried it myself but they sound sensible. He stuck it on in London village somewhere and got it off in Inverness if I remember correctly.
That would suit me just fine missing the boring England M6 scape.
