Felixstowe to Sutton Hoo partly in the rain. I followed a 5l Mustang home part way in the showers through Woodbridge. It sounded wonderful & I think it was a Bullit but couldn't get close eoungh to confirm

K, there are rumours that some routes may restart due to the social distancing hassle on planes, I'd love that to come true.

Gordon .... would be great to park your car on one in Aberdeen and drop off somewhere south of the traffic nightmare that is Birmingham ... Have done the sleeper down to London in the past .... only issue would be the ferocious cost it would likely be ... if they could keep it down to around twice the petrol cost they'd never have an empty waggon. What with the CO2 thing, if anything deserved subsidy from the Govt it should be this sort of scheme.
Your trip looks great .... looking forward to finishing the rebuild and getting out there!!

Went to watch the thank you Spitfire flyover Morriston hospital. It did three passes over the hospital. Good value for a ten miles drive each way. Plus an ice cream on the way home.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

That we do, an ex colleague of mine lived on Orkney with a lot of work down south he relied on it I never tried it myself but they sound sensible. He stuck it on in London village somewhere and got it off in Inverness if I remember correctly. Rich, I thought the car train stopped in Glasgow, but could be wrong. I think there would be a strong case to reintroduce it and terminate it in Inverness now because of the NC 500. I would love to visit your neck of the woods but the motorway driving puts me off as well, and I've only done the M6 two or three times. K, I agree, a worthy project for government assistance, but maybe we're biased🤔

150 mile drive today avoiding motorways to South Yorkshire to visit my narrowboat. Sadly not in Morton as its temporarily without exhaust system pending fitting AR side exit pipes. Lenny the Land Rover stepped up to the task covering the journey in under 3.5 hours despite being 54 years old! Have taken longer in the Morgan but without the GBH to eardrums, requiring the soothing effects of a couple of pints of Old Peculier in the Canal Tavern later

It would be great if they could reintroduce a new system to enable us to do without the boring parts of the journey, I'm pretty sure it would be popular. Before the sad demise of Flybe there was a great Edinburgh direct flight from Exeter which would have been spot on for us, so probably Bristol or Newquay for us now I guess.

This was the Motorail track map .... though apparently not all stations were served at all times during the life of the service. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/08/18/Screenshot_20200818-225821_Samsung-Internet.jpg) Would be good to have it back. K
