Thanks for proving the theory Bunny, still not going out much then 😁. It will be interesting to see if the gauge remains linear and fairly stable for a a year or two like mine is.

Nice oil pressure and temp gauge installation Obie, much neater than brackets under the dash and no danger of bending them with your knee.

The just fitted a used old Porsche 911 gauge that I had in the corner of the garage for a long time, it measures 285 mm and has a witness a terminal for the fuel warning light so I polished them wire with abrasive 3000 and control ohms by moving the float everything seems ok and progressive, I have not yet connected a third electric wire with a pilot on the dashboard for the moment.

I had already polished the wires of the original gauge with polish without much result several years ago, I found the entire gauge loosened once removed from the tank.

Just fitted the 280mm fuel probe. Given that the previous one reads 0% after about 50km on a full tank it can't be worse!
