It's perhaps strange but after suffering endless glitches and problems with my dear M3W and giving up and buying an MX5 which didn't scratch the itch, now find myself the owner of the best three wheeler ever. Except it's made by someone else not far from Malvern. The Pembleton VSport. Check them out. It's beautifully finished. Properly thought through and evolved and 300Kilos!

Looks really good, I know of them but can't recall any details

Is that a Guzzi engine up front?

Swinging arm front suspension?

Yes 750 Guzzi. Swinging arm also front wheel drive = no screaming bevel box and whining belt/pulley wheel, also hence the light weight.
Actually very different to drive of course and yet the same kind of insuppressible laughter within 20 yards! :-)

If the Guzzi powered one follows the Citroen philosophy they will be inboard disc brakes.

+8Rich is right. The discs are inboard but unlike the Citroen you can get to them! Good positive feel too, but then it's so light. Good to relearn cadence braking.

I definitely drive it more slowly than the M3W as the soft ride takes some getting used to and it leans/rolls. The later models have slightly stiffer suspension. Have covered about 500miles this summer and have a much better feel for it now. One unexpected bonus it's really practical. Tilt the seat back forward and there's your storage plus the 'glove box goes the length of the bonnet (or hood LOL). I always hankered after the polished ali bodied Brooklands M3W as I loved the look and Autoglym metal polish and a chordless polisher do the job quite easily.

It looks spectacular in polished alloy, you are a very brave man and you must collect many admirers along the way and they are rarer than the M3W grin2.

Really interesting your comparison with the handling and also luggage capabilities, there is a beautiful blue LHD one for sale which the guy in France could not get registered which would suit a Brit wanting to tour Europe, it's brand new and I felt sorry for the guy that bought it. It's on Car and Classic site or was last week.

I had many happy thousands of miles in an Ami 8 all over Europe which had the 602cc engine and running gear, fantastic reliable and fun car, that's how I knew about the inboard discs as I had to replace the tiny handbrake pads on mine once..
