Love the wheels - so much nicer than the ubiquitous shiny wires clap

Hi 4acker,

Yes, all goes together very well. It's got a certain rugged, no nonsense look.
John's black car, recent thread, looks a bit menacing.
As for mine, errrhh ...perhaps a wedding car

I appreciate Roady's comments but I thought wires complemented the silver and narrower track.

This is the thing about the 70th, there are subtle differences between year groups.

Incidentally, thread drift but I, too, liked my scooters..Eddie Grimstead Hurricane 200 (based on SS180) high comp head, fuel injector, 12volt...poser Mod!

In my eyes silver steel wheels with hubcaps look a bit cheap. But if they are painted it is much better and of course a bit different. The most important thing is that they are very easy to clean.

IMO Polished wire wheels are the quintessential classic British sports car look.

I don't think you can beat then on the narrow bodied Trads.

Just cleaned mine and they look stunning. I have to admit they can be time consuming to keep clean but worth the effort.

I'm in the 'painted steelies' camp - it was in my priorities list when seeking my Morgan. I think they look more purposeful, and life is too short to fanny about with spokes and inner tubes....

I like the painted wire camp. I love the black ones too but I don’t know where Morgan managed to come up with the cost so high. Silver look good to or body colour as long as they are not white. I find the stainless wheel too much bling but we all have different preferences
