I purchased a 1981 Plus 8 a few months ago but only recently got round to giving a good once over as it had'nt been used much in recent years ( only covered 33000 since new ). Although probably the most basic spec you could have at the time, it's a really nice car that's not been mucked about with. Anyway, it came with Aero Screens and the mounts are fitted to the dash but main screen is not the drop down type but is easily removed. At risk of stating the obvious but not having had any experience of these before, am I correct to assume that you remove the windscreen wipers completely when in Aero Screen mode ? Hopefully a picture accompanies this post if I've done it right. Regards Steve

VERY nice Steve!

I'm just about to fit Aeroscreens to my car and yes, you do need to take the wipers off. Heart of England do some nice stainless caps to go over the spindles if you are fussy. You will need a scuttle mounted rear view mirror by the looks of it.

That's very nice. Those wheels are quite rare, they didn't use them for very long.

Get a folding screen kit from Hearts of England.
I always take the wipers off it takes seconds to do.

looking at the tyres, I'd check how old they are and get new one if there older than 10 years.

As usual, top tips, like the sound of the stainless steel covers. I'll give the Aero screens a go and see how I get on before I go to the expense of a folding screen. Was really looking forward to driving with them on then and now its raining !

Mine have been on since May.
If you remove the screen from the side pillars be carefull as there is a long screw and a short one each side.
Do it wrong and the screen can be cracked by the long screw is wrong hole.
