Sounds good. It would take a first rate machinist.
Then you would have to throw away that ecu and find one that could interface with the engine and speedo and tach.

So what are the possibilities to install an HD motor into the "five-speeder", using a properly machined adapter plate? \
I do not believe an adaptor plate to the transmission would be required to install a H-D engine, only custom engine mounts. As the primary drive interface of the x-wedge crankcase is compatible with H-D primaries, the H-D engine should bolt up to the Morgan motor to gearbox adaptor housing.

Slightly worrying for three-wheeler owners going forward if spares for the S&S engine will not be readily available.

That would be incredibly poor form by S&S. In the world of machining we live, it can’t be that hard for them to make a run here and there as needed.

That would be incredibly poor form by S&S. In the world of machining we live, it can’t be that hard for them to make a run here and there as needed. Understood that the machining technology could bring forth supplies for an orphaned engine, but in the world of supply and demand, the costs would rise exponentially. The mounting brackets are very different. Also the main drive case is set up different. Could it be done... enough time and money anything can be done
