Hello boys and girls,

After some decent test drives last year (Plus Six) and this year (Plus Four AT and MT) I took the plunge and placed an order for a Plus Four AT. Probably the result of too much time at home under lockdown dreaming of adventures new!! I was expecting to prefer the MT but with the weird gear ratios in the MT and the well matched AT (unlike the Plus Six) the decision was an automatic (ha ha) one for me.

Not sure if this is the right forum for my request for help now but I am sure someone will point me in the right direction if not. I was very keen to get down to the factory in order to take some piccies during the build (I have never had a new Morgan built to my spec before so to say I am excited is not an exaggeration!) but Malvern is a bit of a trip for me and despite trying to change many things getting down there is not going to be possible due to work and family committments.

Are there any kind fellow TMers who will be at the factory doing a tour in September who might be able to take a couple of pics for me? Any stage of the build would be great and justy happy snap quality on your phone would be perfect if you have a minute on your way round. Production started 'approximately' 2nd September and it is scheduled to hit the trim shop around 22nd September.

I am not sure at what stage a VIN is allocated but I don't have one yet. What I do have is the 'Order/Build number' which I hope will suffice for now. That number is 104474.

Thanks in advance to any kind souls who could help in some way. I'll post pictures when it arrives with me (next month).

Congratulations Ian, exciting times.
If you PM Graham on here who is a great contributor who also happens to be a tour guide at MMC - if it's possible he will help out with your request.

Congratulations.

If it is any help I took the Aero S2 out today as I was feeling a bit pee'd off with this CV lockdown thingy. It picked up my entire day and a few others who saw it rumbling along so it should work for you.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Hi Ian

Best wishes to you and congrats. My husband used our pal Graham for photos, as already suggested above. He did an excellent job for us. We rewarded him with a number of free sausage rolls, cakes and refreshments which was easy to arrange through the cafe. We were delighted and Graham was delighted.

If you are planning to print off your photos then ask on TM if anyone has a Morgan album for sale. My husband did this successfully. Just take out the old photos and replace with yours.

Cheers,

Kev,
You're frightening me now, Did you not read the terms of the restraining order!!

Hehe - do you have a file on us all or just an amazing memory :-).

Yes, as you know I am a sucker for Morgans, especially those with a rondel on the door. Although the Managing Partner has made me promise not to put one of thePlus Four. Let's see how things go....

All the best
Ian.

Graham is your man. If you don't have any luck contacting him I'm over at the factory either Friday or Monday collecting my aero after service. Drop me a message if you need pictures.

Cheers

I have asked you not to recommend me Richard. It's not fair on tour groups to pause to photograph a car. Plus it can cause some disharmony in other departments. So I'm afraid I no longer photograph cars in build. I may, if I see it when complete, but that is unlikely.

Do the MMC still do build records. I have always regretted not getting one, for my car. I did see it in build but it was in the paint shop.
