I loved looking out for the radomes at Fylingdales as a kid
Sutton Bank and Fylingdales made a car journey over to see my Grandparents in Whitby a great adventure

Must have been the early 80's Stewart. Beautiful day - A1 to Scotch Corner then A66 with stops at Barnard Castle and Penrith then up to Dumfries for an overnight.

Was up that way a month or so ago although in the Mini. Stayed at Appleby-in-Westmorland on the A66, surprisingly easy/quick run from Norfolk. A66 handy for the remote Tan Hill Inn as well.

The A66 is great.
Today I tested the GPS speedo I bought. So a run around the Felixstowe area. The speedo is better than nothing but doesn't like rapid turns or accelration/ deceleration.

Loads in Suffolk . I am guessing councils need the funds. Ditto parking wardens ( Felixstowe has gone from 1 to 4) & free car parks now charging

Nice day out driving to West Mersea for lunch and a bit of a mooch. 88 miles each way - our nearest seaside destination. Waved to a Morgan trad in the morning going through Hitchin. Nice! Pleased you enjoyed our lovely Island, dis dee a dark green Mog with a black hood parked, was it you?
