Thanks for posting Bruce. It must be wonderful to have such a route on your doorstep.
At 11,000 feet I think that is higher than any pass in Europe (I am sure that someone will correct me if I am wrong!) and I wondered if the car's performance is affected in any way?

Hi Rob; I don't notice any drop in performance at altitude in any of the Morgan's would even go as far to say that the Weber downdraft in my 4/4 even seems to go better!!! The +8 has a lovely low gurgle note on the way down, the ECU learns quite well, I live at just under 9000ft and drive on a road that goes as high as 13,400ft. There again you are not going at high speed on these roads as the hairpin bends and drop offs keep you in check.

We met up with some friends in their recently-acquired Mazda MX5 at Headcorn Aerodrome today - just a 30 mile drive from home. No Spitfire flights today unfortunately, but there were plenty of light-aircraft coming and going, plus we saw some parachutists just as we were about to leave. Our friends car is the same colour as our Morgan - Mazda Soul Red. Could they be Soul Mates?? ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/09/18/IMG_1102.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/09/18/IMG_1106.jpg)

Your car looks cracking in that colour .... pal of mine has just bought the two seater Fiat (in red, of course) .... seems it shares a platform with the Mazda .... looking forward to having the Morgan finished so we can have some drives out . K I didn't get the chance for a close look or have a chat with the owner. Certainly nothing I recognised.

Car is well colour co-ordinated with the view ..... really pleased you're getting the weather ..... loving the little incongruous cloud in the last pic ..... my guess is the alien observers were caught out by an unexpected fine day so needed to hide their saucer sharpish ..... (other explanations are available ) K
