If there is power on one side and the earth is OK I would check with a mutli meter at each wiring junction for power starting at where the power supply splits from the other headlight, Get a good contact cleaner to try to clean the bullet connectors are replace if needed

Just been under the car and found the wires ,the thin red one you mentioned isn’t connected and the blue/red headlamp wire plugs into a blue/yellow it all looks a bit messy so I’ll tidy it up and put new connectors on . The car goes for an MOT next month so I may get them to sort it while it’s in . I’ve got some pictures so I’ll try a post them .

Finally sorted the headlamp issue turned out to be one of the bullet connectors on near side which is annoying as that’s the second place I checked after the bulb ,even though I’d cleaned the connection and put it back together it was the problem, they are not in the best place under the wheel arch so new connectors and done ✅

FWIW when I fitted a new Autosparks loom to my Land Rover it came with new bullet connectors as per original, although they were a little economical with female ones so had to reuse some from old loom towards the end of installation. All had gone well as I tested the new loom section by section until I connected up the rear lights. Had to remake one brake light connection three times before it was sorted

Yes, bullet connectors can be a pain. I always grease them before assembly. They are then easier to assemble and the grease helps to stop corrosion.
