I got notification today that this had been cancelled. MSCC had pulled out anyway. I think a sensible decision by the organisers. Sad - but it would be difficult to get people there, I think.

Got that too Phil
Had considered going under my own steam but when I looked into it you had to say what time you wanted to book admission for. And if you missed it you’d be held back until there was a gap.
That was the last straw as coming from Yorkshire it would be almost impossible to be accurate to 15 minutes for arrival time, plus I’d doubt if MSCC would have been the only absentee, plus the general Covid risk...
Looking forward to some car events next year though which hopefully will be taking place...

Even without the new government guidelines, I supported MSCC decision to give up a stand at this year's show, my other club had decided a long time ago not to attend. I know the NEC organisers work extra hard to run the show, but public safety comes first everytime, Could see how it was going to work, my wife and I have not missed a show for the last 12 years. But there's always next year

Sad, but for me the show was getting a bit stale, I've been going every year for 20 years or more and TBH I struggle to remember anything really being very different. Hopefully it will give them a chance to freshen up the approach a bit maybe?

I got notification today that this had been cancelled. If you'd looked at the latest replies to your own original thread Phil you'd have found out a day earlier! MSCC & the NEC

I haven't been consistent classic car show-goer but I feel the same as Tim H I think. It is always a last minute decision with me especially knowing that i am probably not going to see anything really new. Having said that, I have been to the last five although I did make a decision earlier on in the year not to risk this one, and to be honest, I didn't think it would happen given the likes circumstances.
I would obviously like these events to succeed given the enormous effort that goes into the organisation of them from both sponsors and exhibitors points of view and especially the dedication of volunteers and club members - and Morgans owners in particular of course. Whilst it must be a huge disappointment for fans and exhibitors the planning for next year is not far away and maybe a new focus will emerge?
