As far as I remember this has been discussed before, and the advice that has been given is to get a used Porsche (944 or the like) scissor jack. No personal experience, but they are said to be very light, reliable and easy to use - as opposed to the quite bad OEM jack. Plenty on e-bay. This is for roadside use of course, in the garage is another matter. I use an aluminium (lightweight) trolley jack and axle stands when working at home. I use a trolley jack and axle stands at home ..... I intend to replace the scissor jack with a bottle jack ..... only downside of the bottle jack as a 'roadside' jack is that they are a bit heavier than the scissor jack ...... trolley jacks are available (at a price) in alloy for motorsport use but I have yet to find an alloy bodied bottle jack. I seem to remember reading (possibly on here) that Porshe cars have a nice quality alloy scissor jack .... these can be found on ebay not too expensive ... perhaps a forum member who has one could comment on the weight and ease of use.
Strange to supply a car with a spare wheel but no jack to fit it (can understand no jack if the car has no spare, just a repair/inflate aerosol) .... I know the AA/RAC will fit your spare at the roadside, but with the wait you have for them anywhere vaguely remote I don't fancy that as an option
K Bought one a few years ago, not yet used in anger but it has been tested in the garage under load & was ok, much lighter and more compact than the OE steel one, I also carry a small plywood pad just in case of soft ground

Hi chaps, I have looked at these porsche jacks before but with that raised oval how do you jack up the front cross member safely. Cheers paul.

I built mine up to level using some hard rubber sheet (thanks to Stewart S for the tip  ). Cut the oval shape from the centre of 1 (or possibly 2) sheets of hard rubber sheet and glue securely to the top of the base. This is very secure and has the added advantage of a built in pad to protect the crossmember..... James

Gone through a good few axle stands in the years TRY AND GET SOME RUBBER CAPS FOR THE TOPS OR USE A GOOD DUSTER FOR THE AXLE TO REST IN
using a WEBER A/STAND at the moment BUT STILL PUT JACKS UNDER AXLE ETC YOU CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH SAFETY
THE WEBER IS A 01376-- 323501 ESSEX 20045 2000KG GET SOME RUBBER CAPS FOR THE JACK HEADS IF YOU CAN OR AGAIN USE GOOD DUSTERS
TAKE CARE AS THE GARAGE HAS BEEN RAIDED TWICE THEY TOOK ALL MY TOOLS ETC AND MY LATE FATHERS SHAME THE RIDGE BACK ( DOG ) WAS NOT IN AT THE TIME HE IS NOT A LOVER OF PEOPLE HE DOES NOT KNOW.

I think the OP is asking about a jack for the new generation PlusFour (not the steel chassis +4).

Yes Graham, that's why I suggested he sought advice from his dealer these aluminium tubs are a whole new ball game and will need more care in jacking points is how I view it.
I refrained from advising the OP.
