Talk Morgan Forums Morgan Sports Cars Classic Morgans (pre-CX) So, have you driven your Morgan today?

A short drive to Guildford and B&C to pick up the missing VIN Plate. Dodged the weather and got home hood down, sidescreens off and some fast sections in the traffic on the A3.
Nearly 10k miles clocked up and the Morgan feels better every time, the notchy gearbox is loosening up, the new tyres made a huge difference to the ride, (I’m convinced that Trad Morgan’s like tall tyres).
In common with many on this forum I’m pretty satisfied with the ride and the more i understand how to get the best from it the more I appreciate the flat cornering, the chuckability and the responsiveness.

Yes I was very impressed by the pub. Folkmog have a treasure hunt on 11 Oct that ends at the pub for a meal in groups of up to 6.

Florence has been out most weekends over the summer but only 30-40 miles each time round the local villages. I love her desperately but after each trip I ache somewhat once the adrenaline has gone. Monday week ago took a 250 mile round trip to the factory to test drive the new auto Plus Four (good to see you Graham - did you get the cake reserved for you in the canteen?).
Seriously enjoyed it. Quick, comfy, easy on the body etc etc (other detailed reviews available elsewhere in this parish)
Unfortunately the joints in my hands and feet struggle increasingly with osteoarthritis so it took me a week to recover sufficiently from the distance in Florence which is frustrating. We (myself and Lady HB-she won’t drive a manual but will drive an auto...) have made a decision and the deal is done.
Florence will shortly be available for purchase from Allon White and a new Plus Four ordered with help from Phil. She will be called Bellagio (or Belle for short - sorry JohnV6, not a name stalker I promise).
Now, how do I cope with the wait....?

If the weather improves we intend to take a trip to The Shipwreck in the Marina at Shotley Gate tomorrow. Suspect we need to take Ernie though rather than Florence-don’t want to put too many miles on her before she goes to AW! ...

Coming home late yesterday evening after a nice tour to the vineyard areas north of Vienna.

That Sturm stuff is dangerous from memory, it reminded me of good cider. It is a lovely part of the world to drive in Hannes & I am glad you are getting out & about.

Please wave then , we are across the river about 1 mile from the water tower west of the docks. Though given the forecast you might not be able to see that.

Hannes the vineyards north of Vienna are a great reason to take the Morgan out. Great to see you doing some night driving even if blurred. Let's hope it's a good autumn. Kerry
