I am in the process of re fitting the radiator on my 1969 4/4 Ford Crossflow. The lower standard mounting brackets on the chassis are in such a position that the cotton reel rubbers sit below the brackets so that the radiator hangs on the cotton real. This to me seems wrong the radiator should sit on the cotton reel. The only solution as I see it is to move the standard chassis bracket down or modify the bracket on the radiator. Any comments pleas.

Agreed, on top of the mounting brackets.

If we get some dry weather at the weekend, I'll get some photos/measurements of mine as a guide.
