Nottingham is the current hot spot, and locals tell me that the City Centre is crowded to normal levels. The group of people who want to behave as "normal" of whatever age will prolong this crisis, and the UK government are unwilling or incapable of controlling incoming people from overseas.

Either way, the British mentality of not being told, will keep this running for a long time.

Its all a plot to reduce the governments outgoings on pensions and for the young ones to inherit the family wealth.

I think we have to be sensible about thing's, Its easy to blame the youngsters and Boris is a target with many damned if you do and damned if you dont. At the moment our village is still full of middle aged and older people as the young are back at school social distancing is out of the window with most. Three quarters of Taffmog is in Lock down and allthough we aren't we shall stay local for the forseeable future.

We are in for cycles of in and out of lockdown. The virus is not going to disappear.
As infection increases so will restrictions. As it reduces so will restrictions.
The bottom line is a trade off between infection control ( attempted) and economic preservation.
Those who lapse in behaviour will cause the cyclic effect. It is down to self discipline among all sectors of the population who must accept that the norm of 2019 is not coming back any time soon.
A vaccine would be a significant game changer but that is not expected soon. I think Christmas is going to be a huge test both in the run up shopping spree and visiting relatives.
I am getting a bit p****d off at the idiots who are ignoring the guidelines/law re congregating in groups. Selfish, self centred the rules don’t apply to me people. Yes they will always exist as seen by drink drivers, stupid drivers etc.

A friends godson recently tested positive at Newcastle Uni - as did many in their halls.... so a large infected group have returned home to be with parents. Travelling for hours on trains, buses and tubes etc to get to homes all over the UK. Really smart. I wonder how many they have infected along the way?
