Hello
after 6 years of driving a Roadster 3.7, I made the decision earlier this year to change to a Plus Six. I‘m still running it in but after the first few tours I‘m now starting to increase the speed (all within the limits, officer). While the suspension is a big improvement for driving in traffic, for spirited road driving the front suspension ( or sway-bar ?) could be softer and the rear suspension feels too soft for me to lean on and underdamped. I understand that this setup should help to increase traction, but I either have to get used to this not so confidence inspiring feeling of the car or consider alternatives. Maybe to early to ask, but has anyone already driven the SSL-Suspension for the Plus Six or even knows the difference in approach or layout?
Regards Markus

SSL now cover the Plus Six in their range of Morgan suspension upgrades for front and rear. Librands seem to have exclusive rights. Click below ![[Linked Image]](http://www.suspensionsupplies.co.uk/communities/6/004/013/488/886//images/4637397233_228x201.jpg) From what I can see you have Spax adjustable coilovers and improved antil-roll bar coupling. I'm sure Dan White at SSL would be happy to discuss with you.

Some months ago I drove the car used by Librands and SSL to develop the new suspension. for the Plus Six. I'd previously driven a totally standard new Plus Six and didn't like it one bit. With the SSL upgrades the car is transformed, I was impressed.
Would I buy one? No: I still think the car is overpowered and the Plus Four is the better car.

Thank you for your comments. Peter, yours is the first driving comment that I‘m aware of. Richard, your probably right, I will call SSL to get more details about the technical differences. Their advertisement indicates more comfort which is not my preference, that‘s why I‘m looking for driver reports. There is no test drive available around the corner where I live... Plus Six vs. Plus Four: Each to his liking, but is there such a thing as to much power? Remember when the Roaster 3.7 came out there was the same discussion, overpowered for the chassis was the main opinion. For me that was part of the fun.

I wrote this just after driving the car, at the same time as I drove the Plus 4 Auto and my SSL Modified Plus 8. Lockdown followed soon after...
I drove from Librands Office to the starting point of my 2019 drive and set off. The car has been transformed…. The modifications, which comprise a set of new coil-over damper units all round and some very clever variable resistance drop links between the front ARB and lower wishbones completely change the character of the car and result in a car that is equal to, or possibly better than both my SSL Plus 8 and the new Plus Four.
The Cattle Grid test was passed with flying colours, at 50mph no less. Then across the old common road the car tracked straight and true, no need to make corrections to cancel out the consequences of the uneven road surface that had concerned me before. The skittishness that was always lurking had gone. Driving out of Old Sodbury on the steep uphill left hand, ever tightening, curve the car was comfortable at between 45 and 50mph, just as were the PlusFour and SSL Plus 8. Running along the B4040 to Acton Turville the combination of refined ride, precise handling and brutal power made it very difficult to drive within the national speed limit. The PlusFour seems small and nippy, the SSL PlusSix more refined and GT like, but the difference is small. On the A46 north towards the Horton turn the car was just fast and comfortable, but the real surprise was the road through Horton village. The surface is patched, broken and not at all nice to drive over, even in my SSL Plus 8. The speed limit is, of course, 30mph but 20 is fast enough in my Plus 8. The SSL PlusSix soaked up almost all the roughness, making 30mph perfectly achievable.
Overall this relatively inexpensive modification has transformed the car and made it very desirable. Anyone who has a PlusSix and is not happy with the ride and handling should beat a path to Librands or one of their distributors.

Peter, thank you for your detailed report. Meanwhile I have sent Librands a mail last weekend to ask about the status and availability of the kit. What are the forums experiences with them, do they react on mails within a reasonable period or do they prefer to get called by phone?
So far no response.
