So getting back from our last trip from Modena to Lake Garda and back for a BBQ with friends (@Ale_72, that was great!) my personal SWMBO told me she'd like to have a little bit more comfort while travelling. Our road to Lake Garda was 100% motorway, we've put the roof up and kept the speed at 70 mph which for me was perfectly fine but she complained about the wind noise (and exhaust, later on). Back from Lake Garda we've decided to take the inner route as the ETA was very similar (only 45 minutes more), and we had no problems but the harsh surface we've often encountered. My idea was to use some neoprene to close the gaps between the sidescreens and the doors, i think most of the air comes from there. As posted on another thread about side screens, I've done the following:
Neoprene tape on bottom edges of door tops (where they meet the door = seals gaps, makes a tight fit and invisible to see) Librands door top stay Chunk of U channel rubber seal that fits on the edge of the windscreen frame (push fit on the draught excluders)

Roof seal to windscreen looks perfectly normal to me.

I have used self adhesive neoprene strip to seal off the hood to windscreen join. Another attempt at sidescreen draught sealing is due though.

The hood provides its own thrumming sound and i do not have a solution to that. My exhaust also has a droning sound at 2500rpm that is bothersome to my passenger, I fitted sound deadening to the floors which has reduced it. I plan to fit the same material to the inside of the doors as I might as well. In normal cars the doors are a significant entry point for noise. It is self adhesive in sheets and simply sticks to the wood under the carpets. I will also try fitting heat shield blanket material to the muffler, there is a product that has wadding on the inside surface that suppresses some of the resonances. My windscreen seal on the bar that mates with the windscreen was deformed and over time had bunched up in the channel. I cut a little away and stuck the remaining part back with araldite clamping it for 24 hours to make sure it stuck properly. I’ll be interested in your experiments too.

Thanks everyone for the answers! I've already read the DaveW book, i must be one of the few italian owners of such manual, but i was looking for more advices.
The sound deadening material looks good to me, i could try fitting some between the wood and the carpets.

New to Morgan, but as a Lotus driver for many years, creaking, wind noise, and exhaust drone are very common problems in Elise models, and most everything is plastic or metal, so a lot of friction points with nothing soft in between. Many Lotus drivers have used sound deadening materials to good effect, including products like Dynamat applied against the aluminium floor pans (so between floor and carpet), inside the glass fiber doors, behind the dash panels, and against the back firewall (engine is right behind one's head). On the Lotus, application of neoprene tapes, adjusting the angle and tilt of the windows to better fit the top, etc. help with wind noise. Exhaust thrumming and drone can be muted a bit, but the only real solution is a change of the exhaust system.

I am not sure if it is wind noise that is bothering you, or wind actually entering the cockpit. I do not think there is much you can do about the wind noise. The Morgan is far from aerodynamic, so wind noise is part of the game. If the sidescreen is not snug against the A-pillar you can bend the alu bracket a little (use a hydraulic press or a vice, do not try to bend the screen when fitted to the door). You can put some neoprene or rubber gaskets here and there, but I do not think you will achieve much. And the exhaust droning, I am sorry to say, is the price one pays for sport exhaust. I know many a sports car driver that has changed to sports exhaust - and changed back again. As for the roof/screen fitting; looks ok as I said. A Mog is not a motorway animal, IMO. Do as you did on you way back, choose inner or B-roads, take your time and enjoy the scenery. I am sure your good lady will appreciate that.
