As nearly every body panel is still readily available, they should do the frontline thing and go for a rebodied Mazda option. Probably be far more successful as you're replicating a car with secondhand values upwards of £60K rather than £5K.

If its the size of an MX5 and has a p### poor 4cyl 2ltr engine in won't be in my Garage.

Damn sight prettier than a Z4, Supra, most modern blandwagons available in 2 seat open top format.

Along a similar note, I have seen information relating to a possible relaunch of Berkeley Cars. It proposed a 4 wheel versions using a 2 stroke 2 cyl engine promising 121kW @ 8,000, coupled to a cvt gearbox. The pictures I've seen look promising..... but then I read front engine & front wheel drive. Why not a nice little mid engined, rear drive screamer?
