The bigger question is spare parts and how to get the unlock code for the ECU in which they no longer would have any interest?

The solution is a Duratec with a bespoke ecu. More power!!!

In fact that's tempting now.

That really would be quite some project one of those powering an M3W crazy3

That would look ugly to have a 4 banger up front and sound like a sewing machine.

BMW is able to adapt their air-cooled boxer to the new regulations. This year they are even bringing out a brand new 1.8 liter boxer engine, air-cooled. Polaris / Indian gets the big, air-cooled Chief - V2 engines beyond the new limit values. Harley-Davidson too, with the exception of the Sportster.
Why not S&S / Morgan? Perhaps the limits are a good excuse for Morgan to bury the MTW. The vehicle wasn't always completely problem-free. And maybe it no longer fits into the concept of the new owners to position the brand higher up.

That's the feeling I get too, a little electric milk float with no drive train problems or chassis and suspension systems under pressure.

With the advent of the CX platform I think the Italian investors will be glad to see the back of the warranty claims/rebuilds of the M3W. Commercially it's been a bad dream that has no end to it so kill it I imagine is the bean counter thinking.

We'll wait and see if there is a replacement or not.

If I was in the market for one I'd have a Pembleton with the Guzzi power unit and proven drive train with a considerable saving.

And there was me wondering whether you were contemplating a new version of the F-type 3 wheeler Dave laugh2
