I'm considering changing my ignition leads as it might help toward solving my misfire when cold problems. I've read that Magnecor are the manufacturer of choice but are they any better than ones at 1/3 to 1/2 the cost? 1600 xflow.

They work well on my M3W, look good and don't cost too much....but I only need two leads and you won't see the leads on your car.

Just be careful, the Magnecor leads sold specifically for the Kent engined 4/4 are too short!

I’ve used Magnecor on previous vehicles in the past and not found a difference. For value quality and service I can recommend this company Mr Retro-Leads https://mrretroleads.co.uk/ Makes any size and fittings that you’ll need. I found them half the price of Magnecor which, if you were looking to get that last ounce of power and performance for track work then fair enough.

Arwyn I'd echo this. Much better to measure up and buy the leads individually. If the misfire problem is the leads any decent make will cure it.

This is strange. The Magnecor kit of leads for my '71 Kent 4/4 fitted perfectly. The only negative was that the kit did not contain a coil lead which had to be ordered separately.

Thanks Arwyn. I'll go measure up.
fuel.inj. I'd already bookmarked that site. And he answers queries pretty promptly!

I went for the Magnecor - can't remember where I got them from, but again, fitted fine, straight out the box. Possibly Burton? ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/05/09/96_Tyyj1AYgtumDLigl5zUKtNuuv9XZ51-K8dP9qfXMGHJsx5OPHyprjUwgnQXBq3bXY3vnpawHf83gCWPcpEy_B_TsS5a-9cL7vbPKgXahVZ8A43T_yPgc__jxp4a4MdztuNn1UIuui77c6L6l8pgvsD5SQazE319tdrNe_52LwQSt9Nor8qHC7BqHXw2eXc6HkZcFR.md.jpg)

I too have used Mr Retro leads on my TR engined +4 on recommendation from a Morgan +8 owning friend. Excellent service and product at a good price.
