Amazing.
I can recommend the Mosquito Museum just off the M25. Well worth a visit.
Another one I have yet to visit. Had planned to do it a few years ago but circumstances conspired against that.

H-TE was based at Broughton (near Chester but actually in Flintshire, Wales) during the 90's.
It crashed towards the end of a mild display at Barton and had flown out of Broughton earlier that day.
The suspicion was the SU carbs suffered fuel starvation to one of the engines during a wing-over, result was an uncontrolled spin with recovery too late. Both crew died.
2012 Plus 4 in Sport Green. Much comfier than the Plus 8!

Its a travesty that we dont have a flying mozzy here in the UK I remember reading in FlyPast earlier this year that Duxford should have been getting an airworthy one from the rebuild expert in NZ but sadly he passed away so I don't know what happened about it. Link to the plane in question. this article written 2018 prior to his death so a bit out of date.

I researched this a few years ago - my wife's uncle died (together with his companion) in July 1943 in similar circumstances on a training flight in a Mosquito NF.II.

I think the most flattering critique of the de Havilland Mosquito came from Herman Goering himself, lecturing a group of German aircraft engineers.
In 1940 I could at least fly as far as Glasgow in most of my aircraft, but not now! It makes me furious when I see the Mosquito. I turn green and yellow with envy. The British, who can afford aluminium better than we can, knock together a beautiful wooden aircraft that every piano factory over there is building, and they give it a speed which they have now increased yet again. What do you make of that? There is nothing the British do not have. They have the geniuses and we have the nincompoops. After the war is over I'm going to buy a British radio set – then at least I'll own something that has always worked.

Thanks for the thread, I never knew they existed, I was aware of the plan to try and get one from New Zealand but that appeared to have stalled.

I have just spotted the Plane Resurrection Mosquito episode 6/6 on PBS channel via Sky 10.50 (almost now!)
I was at the Lincs Aviation Mosquito on my birthday courtesy of the good lady when they were filming some of it.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
