I do hope this is a successful project. I think they need all the support that they can get!! I would love to to see a Mosquito flying along side a Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster 🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍 https://www.peoplesmosquito.org.uk/

I have fond memories of the mosquito flying at the Hawker Siddley open days at Hatfield in the 60s. It used to do banked turns, low fly-pasts and maneuvers flying on one engine. A magnificent sight and sound.

Back in the 90's I was fortunate to have a connection with the chap who certified the only flying Mosquito in the UK, based at Broughton, Flintshire. H-TE was a super machine and could be seen and heard flying from my house. I even managed to blag a sit inside (on the ground obviously), it's very cramped in there.
At the same time I was flying RC aircraft and flew a scale model of H-TE with a wingspan of around 7 feet - flew very badly and difficult to land and take off.
Sadly its demise is well known and there were some consequences for my pal.

I hope you enjoy this. The other Mosquito in the UK is owned by Tony Agar who has built it with his own hands from parts over a period of 20+ years. It will never fly due to it's parts based history but can do ground runs. His first was Sept some time back and I was lucky enough to be present as the good lady got a ticket for me. It's based with Just Jane the Lanc at EK now so great to visit. If you are not in the office turn the sound up if you like Merlins. [video:youtube] https://youtu.be/H5AMyA7M2zQ[/video]
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Amazing.
I can recommend the Mosquito Museum just off the M25. Well worth a visit.

H-TE was the plane that used to fly at Hatfield. Back in the 60s you could also climb into the cockpit of the prototype Mossie at Salisbury Hall. It was certainly cramped in there but a great experience. The guy who built the prototype Marcos sports car, which had a marine ply chassis for the first few years, had worked at De Havilland on Mosquitoes.
