This is mine - I wonder what yours is.
1/ 2 seats and open top with eception made for 911 on basis that its rear seats arent useable.
2/ no ecu or turbo
3/ small volume production appreciated as something special in its day
4/ manual gearbox
5/ capable of a club sprint or hillclimb without modification
So in British terms, a big Healey is a classic sports car but a Triumph Stag is not. And certainly an RS 2000 isnt a sports car full stop.

3/ small volume production appreciated as something special in its day TICK
4/ manual gearbox TICK

So in British terms, a big Healey is a classic sports car but a Triumph Stag is not. And certainly an RS 2000 isnt a sports car full stop. Lotus Exige 410 Sport - 4 & 1/2 out of five, pretty close

Mine is: 1) Was it originally sold as a 'sports car'? 2) Is it more than 40yrs old? I therefore get 2/2

There's no answer, it's in the eye of the beholder.
I would go for no driver aids, manual box, convertible. No heater is a benchmark.

This is mine - 1/ 2 seats and open top with exception made for 911 on basis that its rear seats arent useable. 2/ must have BIG TURBO 3/ small volume production appreciated as something special in its day 4/ manual gearbox 5/ school boys bedroom poster car I've included in the Gallery my former 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet (having fun with pictures at moment) they only made 68 in RHD form .......great car, made even better when they introduced the G50 gearbox in the final 1989 year of production.
