Ken, we seem to have similar paths with upgrades. I'd love to try a bike with these cams. My M.O. is that anything worth doing is worth overdoing. But after achieving smooth-revving performance throughout the powerband with only a bafflectomy and intake, I'm curious if the incremental value of the cams/rockers is measurable or offset by any risk. Or is it best to leave well enough alone. I don't drive mine more than 1000 miles/year.

I went with just the cams and they have freed up the engine giving a smoother up take on acceleration, difficult to say if overall performance has improved.

The 569 Cams really do make an improvement over the entire rev-band, as they simply add torque and with it comes smoothness. They give a noticeable kick at 4000rpm as the breathing further frees up. I have reservations about the Roller rockers however, as they add lift and some have said that they result in an Interference setup in terms of valve and piston relationship. I would be interested to hear a definitive Yes or No to that question from someone who has built up a set of Rollers and can confirm?

With the 569 cams there is not interference, but the larger cams yes. I asked S&S about this and talked with their tech dept.

I had 569 cams fitted , then roller rockers sometime after.
The roller rockers certainly added something after the cams and I would recommend them if you are going for more power.
Plus smoothness added smoothness - hard to define.
Well engineered to boot.
I dont beleive they cause interference but cant categorically say yay or nay.

Certainly have...they've changed over to the Emerald K6 ECU recently and I've got one of (or the actual) first production one. Initially they had a bit of a cock up over the wiring of the production loom adapter which stopped it from firing up but that is sorted out now, it fired up no problem this afternoon with a revised adapter but the rain has been tipping down so I haven't been able to get out and see what it is really like. Did drive it gently for a few miles on the standard ECU at the start of the week to get its MOT done and it ran fine, a lot smoother at lower revs than with the standard cams but I wasn't keen on driving it properly without an appropriate map.
