That clip highlighted to me the speed these guys moved compared to the muscle mountains of todays game, or is that me being romantic..

A little - JJ's 100m time was around 10.6s, a time matched by Lomu. Robinson could pull a 10.7. It's reckoned Habana can pull a 10.4

Lomu really was quite something, wasn't he ? How could someone built like the proverbial brick privvy be so fast and agile ?
His almost single handed destruction of England, running 4 tries past us at Newlands in the RWC semi-final in South Africa in 1995 remains seared on my memory.
Three Qs at the international level now do seem to be enormous; this is perhaps Jonah Lomu's real legacy. Shane Williams was something of an exception, a true old-school winger, you don't see many like him these days.
