i get lots of TMs asking me advise on colour in PMs, this is not a problem keep them coming, but i thought
i would open a Thread here for any one to add any comments or Pictures of related Body refurbishment.

So the pictures show test cards sprayed out, we are going to refurb the front splitter area on the S4 as it has
multiple stone chips after 45k miles.

Chips away touch-ins are NOT good enough for this type of Refurb in a full on view area and would certainly make the
car look like it has measles.

So we were supplied plenty of spare paint in with the purchase of the car and the first thing to do was to check
whether the product is still good, Paint Manufacturers recommend @ 5 year shelf life for solvent Paint, but our
experience tells us that it keeps a lot longer if stored correctly in air tight containers.

Generally if the Paint has gone off it is usually through the actual Container degrading away, then damp air getting
in through its seam or lid.

So you can see we have taken a picture up the right way and a one upside-down to show the FLIP is still working,
but you should notice the two cards are of a different shade, we did this deliberately to show one card without the
recommended black Ground Coat.

Why not join in with some of your refurb projects and any pictures of workshop and Paint equipment you use.

It must be a nightmare matching flip flop colours if you don't have a leftover tin

Dean I knew those spare tins would come in hand one day.

I'm glad it hadn't gone off after all this time.
