...that is the question.

I saw a post yesterday on this fine forum from someone indicating that he would SORN until next spring.
There really is very little going on, winter is approaching and we are into another lockdown of known/unknown duration.
I have just had Archie serviced and MOTd. Should I SORN over winter, or will I suffer FOMO?

Depends how much per month you will get back ,with a 4/4 it is about £12 per month , much more if its a +8 and nothing if its tax exempt .

A spin out in the Morgan might be just the tonic you’ll need.

Keep it on the road. Use it regularly when road conditions allow even if it's just for food shopping. Beware dry winter roads that were previously salted. Wait until a rain shower has washed the last batch away. Used as a minimum every two weeks will work wonders for your mental well being during lockdown.

The joy of a 'historic' smile smile

Regardless, I'd keep her taxed. To abide with the new laws on 'essential travel' I'm going to start commuting in mine to get my fix.

Thanks all. The savings are limited with around £300 per year.
II was curious to see what you think.
Most definitely the gains are there to be had for mental health; the locked-in syndrome is OK for a while, but cabin fever follows.
The jury is for staying on the road, and I agree - even if it is not so often.
There's certainly no loss in value of keeping a Morgan. I learnt that from the person who was the first owner of Archie; no loss of value at all!

It's the cheapest and most enjoyable therapy known to man/woman keep it out there, you never know what's around the corner thumbs

Agreed Richard.
As we approach another crack of doom in the world, "keeping it out there" is a distinct positive!

I used to SORN mine from Dec through to end Feb as I was always away those months. Have always avoided salted roads before and after those months. Car was 40 in Mar 2020 so from Jan 2021 it's tax free and not a problem.
