My understanding is that garages are considered essential, so will be open for MOT's and they're not repeating the ludicrous MOT extension of earlier this year.
My local nearly went under this year, but managed on savings. his main income is MOT's and MOT fixes. However, he is now facing a very barren March to August for the next couple of years until everything levels out,

Bamm-Bamm will definitely not be SORNed. Having said that he will not be allowed to play in the snow or ice either.

But the MOT is due during lockdown 2, as is the road tax.
Will I be able to re-tax if I can't get an MOT?
Either way, I'll still be driving! Peter, Showrooms must close but vehicle repairs & MOT's are still allowed if the garage has Covid measures in place

Either way, I'll still be driving! You can MOT up to a month before due without losing the date ie you get 13 months. No MOT £100.

My Morgan is booked for a test on 19th November, right in the middle of lockdown. There is no way to get it done in the next 2 days and it will have expired by the end of lockdown.

Garages are open as normal for service work and MOTs..I am having service and MOT on my Vw Caddy next week.

Not to SORN has the upper hand. I have just had Archie serviced and MOTd by Langley Classics (Derbyshire/Staffordshire) for £00=40£ (no VAT). So, it's a 'let's make use of it regularly', even if it is just to blow the cobwebs out and enjoy all those draughts that seem to lick round your ankles.

As we spend most of the winter at our place in Spain, I aways SORN our Morgans, from Nov through to April.
I found such a massive improvement with my Arthritus spending the winters here that it became a no brainer.
My concern is always starting up the car after a long layup but I've found removing the fuel pump fuse and spinning the engine a few times to circulate the oil does the trick.
