I would certainly have a red interior. Black & Red is a great combo.

Sorry to read of your health issues but the consolation is that you end up as a Porsche owner...(-: I find Targas of that generation rather striking. Looking after black paintwork can be a bit of a pain, but I suspect you will have no issues on that score...(-: I hope you can enjoy your Porsche to the full. Porsche seem to have been open to experiment in terms of trim colours, my red 911 had rather yuck interior, beige checked seats, a brown dash and door trims, where black would have been much more preferred by me, though the driving experience more than made up for trim designers colour matching "skills." (-: As an avid scanner of Porsches for sale, I have noted this air-cooled on sale for quite a few months now.... I wonder why..??? https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/10583855

I had only three Porsches in my life. 911S (997 with X51 powerkit). My first real proper sport car. Only mistake that was to buy it coupe. Good luck with the Targa Dean. One advantage is you can still use it as a tin top if you want to.
