Looking in the adverts of September Miscellany I noticed a 1973 V8 4/4 for sale. I couldn't believe that someone had, In the pass shoehorned a Rover V8 into a 4/4! Good for them. Is the ex owner a member of Talk Morgan. If so please tell the tell. That must be a case of a wolf in sheep clothing!

Putting a Rover V8 into a +4 was what Morgan did in 1968 to produce the +8.
The differences between a 4/4 and a +4 in 1973 were not so great, I think. DW can comment.
If you have a 4/4 or +4 and can't afford a +8 then assuming you have the required garage skills putting a V8 from a scrapped Rover/Land Rover/Triumph would be cheaper than buying a +8, I guess.

Must be a bit of a squeeze into a 4/4 chassis. The first 3(?) +8 had bulges in the bonnets to clear the carburretors...

He's got a 3.7 V6 from the Roadster, on throttle bodies, and with some other tweaks, north of 420bhp....!!!
