Hi all , MoT coming up and windscreen washers don’t work so before I start stripping the car to bits can anybody shed some light on where the motor is or any other issues that may cause them not to work ? I’ve actually never used them

A common issue is the pipes either coming off from the jets or disintegrating behind the dashboard. Consequences can mean damage to electrical components, so don’t keep trying unless you are sure that’s not the problem.

You don’t say which Morgan you have, but on my 2014 car the washer pump is attached to the windscreen washer bottle on the near side. I’m with Jon - check the fuse first.

The washer pump is at the base of the washer fluid bottle, if you cannot hear the pump running it could be an electrical fault, or the pump could be seized. I have found that if they are not used the washer fluid can develop a black sludge that jams the pump. Had to take the bottle off my Plus 8 and give it a thorough clean.
