After reading DaveW's article in November's Miscellany, I decided to give the LED headlights a go.

I'd not been happy with the headlights at night for a while, especially in the rain.

Installation was pretty straightforward. I recommend the purchase of a step drill for boring holes in the back of the plastic dome, if that is fitted to your Morgan.

The difference is amazing! Night into day.

A highly recommended modification, for safety alone.

Yes a step drill does make it much easier, and what a lot of plastic swarf!

The LEDs make such a difference. I am a great fan having fitted the slightly lower power ones that don't have the control box.

I notice that Classic Car LEDs have sold out of the H4 units.

@DaveW I hope you are getting some commission!

Here is the link. Both Dave, Richard Wood & I sourced from them. Others obviously exist but these guys are easy to deal with.

LEDs

And, from other LED's I bought from them, considerably cheaper than others, while still offering great quality and service.

I liked the way they specified for me all the bulbs I needed based upon one e mail. When I then didn't want the LED headlight with the control box as I didn't see it fitting they came up with the units I have.

This LED headlight bulb has no control box, albeit a little more expensive:
