Whilst there has not been much happening this year due to Covid we have been looking forward to when we can start to get out and about in our Morgan Three Wheelers and start our regular highly popular meets again. The Touring Group is now formed with, for those into Facebook, an already very popular page which has attracted loads of interest. Pictures and videos from many of the regular M3W users both in UK and Overseas. https://www.facebook.com/groups/332290564694186 take a look.
Information on the new group is below.

Creating the Morgan Three Wheeler Touring Group e-mail for info on touringgrouphq@gmail.com

It all started several years ago when Ian and Maria Parkinson, having been doing extensive touring in UK and Europe in their 1934 Morgan Matchless Super Sports embarked on a mission to engage with owners of the new M3W and create a group of owners who enjoyed the pleasures and pitfalls of using their Morgan Three Wheeler as Mr Morgan intended. With the addition of our Annual Goggles and Gauntlets event and the annual Albert Ball meeting organised by Chris Golding in France we had a foundation that was solid.

This quickly expanded with social events throughout the year plus the annual pilgrimage to Switzerland for the M3W Treffen in Grindelwald organised so well by Laurens and Rineke Vos.
We had now become a group of Morgan owners enjoying our vehicles to the full. It was decided early in September that it was time to have our own identity and the decision was made to approach the MTWC to form our own group within the club. The club AGM in September was by Zoom ( due to Covid19) the proposal by Ian and Maria to form a Touring Group received a 93% vote in favour and we thank our fellow members wholeheartedly for their support.

So we had to start sorting ourselves out, Chris Golding ( Red Leader) was first choice for position of GO ( Group Organiser) Ian Parkinson leads Promoting and Events, Maria Parkinson, Secretary and Events Admin, Colin Duggan and Paul Pitfield are involved in general activities/advising. In the last few days Paul has had to back off his involvement with the group due to running a busy company.
Though Covid 19 has curtailed our activities somewhat we are still planning ahead till we see a light at the end of the tunnel. There will be lots of events for the Morgan Three Wheeler owner to participate in, our flagship Goggles and Gauntlets on The Isle of Man week has now been rescheduled twice but will eventually go ahead. With 50 old and new Morgan Three Wheelers already entered this will be a week of driving and social fun for sure.
We hope to see some of you and your Morgan at our events once things go back to some normality.

Well done to you all - I have enjoyed the facebook page immensely and having attended one or two of your past events I am looking forward to the end of covid restrictions. I am most heartened by the 93% show of virtual hands from the MTWC - despite the age difference of our vehicles I find that I have much in common with owners of early machines and enjoy the monthly meetings to discuss engineering problems old and new. It will be good to get some events in before Boris bans internal combustion engines altogether! Thanks for setting the group up - keep up the good work folks.

Hi Rodger,
I should have OK'd your request by now. I know not everyone does Facebook but in these difficult times it is a means to provide instant contact with other owners of M3W's. The site is going really well now considering it has only been two months since we formed Touring Group. Lots of interesting pictures of M3W's from around the globe, the usual banter plus some good videos to boot.
Of course we cannot do Touring as we wish to but we wish to play our part in keeping communication going amongst Mog owners.
We welcome all Morgan Three Wheeler pictures and related stuff, TM Forum does a great job tech wise so in the main it is by far the best site for that.
Look forward to seeing your Mog pictures and watch out for all the latest news to come.
Rgds

Latest News from the Touring Group HQ.
We now have our own Zoom Channel.
This is unlimited in size and each meet will be managed to ensure smooth operation.
Previous 1st Lockdown test meets went well and we shall be inviting entries shortly.
Though we can have up to a 100 participants we plan to have much smaller numbers so it will be first in only.
Update us all on what you have been doing, problems with the Mog or just general social chat .We may even show you some archive Mog films.
Watch out for the invite, follow instructions to be in.
