Commercial channels are a PitA, more ads than content & after each ad break you are forced to watch a recap of what you saw a few minutes ago, to make 20 mins fill an hour

I found a couple of old tapes recently: one of a balloon flight I did near Alic Springs and another of my second wedding which was about 40 years ago. I had that converted to DVD but the quality is appalling. I should dig out the old VCR and see if it is any better played directly to the TV.
