As Peter says these old school circuits used this year have been a delight to watch, no doubt to drive too.
Big thumbs up and many congratulations for Lewis, he certainly gets the job done and just never gives up. Well deserved 7th. So what happened to Stroll?

Yes well done. I guess it is hard to compare his remotely controlled electronic filled gizmo car vs the early F1 drivers like Fangio but the fact is this is an incredible achievement. I know what you mean by this but just a reminder that today's F1 cars have no traction control and no ABS and tyres that only work within very narrow temperature windows. They are not in any way remote control and cannot be tweaked from the pits in the way they could a few years back. It only needs weather conditions like today to demonstrate how difficult a modern F1 car is to control and why it is very fair to say that Lewis is one of the greatest Grand Prix drivers ever. If not the greatest.

Agreed. But I think I am right in saying when he started out it was very different wrt gizmos & remote controls.

So pleased to see Perez do so well.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

He's so good he must be Scottish. He is, he’s from Hamilton, : Incredible achievement and it has been a great season, but sadly, no one around to watch it.

I'm not the biggest F1 fan but have just watched the highlights. That was a masterclass by team and driver, the right driver with the right team at the right time. Awesome, congratulations to a seven time world champion.👍

Like him or not, he is one of the most talented drivers of all time, and he does it fairly.

I thought it was a extraordinary drive from him today and a v well deserved title. I have been a big F1 fan since around J Hunt days (and Moto for about 13 years) and I think it has been one of the best seasons in my memory. Chase and his team have somehow put a great season together on varied non Tilke tracks which I have really enjoyed and has helped to keep me sane in a tough year. Whilst I can’t forgive Max for his comments in Portimao, his driving talent is amazing although his impatience let him down today - Lewis however is “de man” in my book and has been ever since seeing him in GP2... I admit for neutral fans it will be good when he retires meaning we have Russell v Norris v LeClerc v Verstappen but feel privileged for what I’ve seen in recent times. HB

Despite the problems, this years F1 is turning out to be the best ever. As much as I still don't like Lewis as a person, he is without any doubt the very best driver of this age. A great drive and a well deserved 7th championship, he must surely go for 8 next year.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg
